🎾 Tennis: Alcaraz Wins Second US Open 🏆
Spanish tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz captured his second US Open title and sixth major championship on September 7, defeating rival Jannik Sinner in four sets (6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4). With the victory, the 22-year-old Alcaraz dethroned Sinner as the new world No. 1 in the ATP rankings. The win also made Alcaraz just the fourth male player in history to win multiple major titles on all three surfaces: hard court, clay, and grass. The US Open also made history with a significant prize money increase, giving both Alcaraz and women's champion Aryna Sabalenka a record $5 million each.
